Description: White to green-yellowish needles, longflake crystalls or crystal powder, taste bitter.

2. Indications: It is indicated in the treatment of typhoid, paratyphoid, typhus and bacillary dysentery. It is also used for used for the treatment of urinary infection, pertussis, peritonitis, septicaemia, conjunctivitis and trachomata etc.
